Hello all and welcome!!
A little about me:
I have been a practicing Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2014 and a practicing nurse since 2010. I specialize in MENTAL WELLNESS and Addiction Treatment across the lifespan and provide Telepsychiatry services to diverse populations in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and New York. Throughout my career I have contracted with several Federally Qualified Health Care Centers and at the San Juan County NM Adult Detention Center Alternative Sentencing program, to provide medication management services to its clients in recovery. I have been a certified Buprenorphine and Medically Assisted Treatment provider since 2017. Although I continue to treat various communities I am called into private practice and am the owner and CEO of Mindful Choice Institute!!
I achieved my Doctoral degree at Chatham University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (Summa Cum Laude) and my graduate and undergraduate degrees were achieved at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse New York (Cum Laude). I am happily married and have two adult children, one who serves this country as a Captain in the US Army Reserve and protects our borders as a Border Patrol Agent and as an undergraduate student of psychology at the University of Colorado. One of my joys is traveling and experiencing diverse cultures, some of which were mission trips to Haiti in 2010 and El Salvador in 2014. My recent travels have led me to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and the number of recent earthquakes in 2019 and 2020. I currently serve the Arizona Nurse Practitioner Counsel Chapter 9 and hold the Office of Government Affairs Legislative Chair position.
Telepsychiatry is a platform used by providers which enables us to see YOU from the comfort of your own home!
A psychiatric evaluation may be needed to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders. A thorough evaluation can take up to about 1 hour
Medication management is the process of medication therapy, usually pharmaceuticals, used to treat the diagnosis uncovered in the psychiatric evaluation. This appointment can be up to 30 minutes
